Our office
The Office for Erasmus Traineeships Saxony-Anhalt is a regional institution of the seven universities of Saxony-Anhalt. We offer Erasmus+-supported traineeships for students, graduates, PhD students and trainees including preparation, support of the search for traineeships, financial support and Europass.
The Office for Erasmus Traineeships Saxony-Anhalt, located at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, has been the centre of excellence for EU-funded traineeships in Saxony-Anhalt for many years. It was founded in 1991 under the name ComEAST in order to improve cooperation and transfer between industry and universities within the framework of European projects. The activities of the Office for Erasmus Traineeships Saxony-Anhalt cover the entire federal state of Saxony-Anhalt with two universities, one art academy and four universities of applied sciences.
Currently, the Office for Erasmus Traineeships Saxony-Anhalt concentrates on mobility projects for students and graduates. For their traineeships in other European countries, they receive a scholarship financed by the EU within the framework of the ERASMUS+ program. Every year about 300 students and graduates receive a scholarship of approx. 400 € per month. In addition, the Office for Erasmus Traineeships Saxony-Anhalt works as a partner of Leonardo da Vinci innovation transfer projects in connection with the exchange of trainees (preparation of students, evaluation of traineeships). The Office for Erasmus Traineeships Saxony-Anhalt strives for high quality in the implementation of traineeships in placement, preparation, scholarship awarding, supervision and recognition.
